Agriculture

Agriculture is the backbone of Clark County, and our small farms are vital to the local economy and our way of life. However, current county codes and regulations are hindering these farms instead of supporting them. We must prioritize policies that encourage and sustain small farms, ensuring they thrive and continue to provide fresh, local produce.

Clark County agriculture is currently in a state of instability, and it's more important than ever to support initiatives that provide essential funding and resources for our farmers. Additionally, programs like the Open Space Farm and Agriculture Program play a significant role in preserving farmland and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

As your County Councilor, I will advocate for reforms that reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens, protect water rights, and provide the support our farmers need to succeed. By fostering a supportive environment for agriculture, we can ensure that our small farms not only survive but thrive, contributing to a resilient and vibrant community. Let's work together to build a future where agriculture in Clark County remains strong and sustainable for generations to come
